Visual identity for Eljun

At Eljun I was in charge of the project to level-up the company's visual identity. The original visual identity was built overtime, with bits and pieces added as needed, as a result there was a lack of visual coherence and explicit guidelines. To improve, we started with the company mission and values reflected on a mood board, and from mood board we reached several ideas that I iterated on until we landed on the new visual identity. The following slides are excerpts from the visual identity, however I have excluded sections which are considered internal.

Workshop for Eljuns mission and vision

The first step was to do a workshop with all key stakeholders. During this session, we reflected on the core mission and values and personality of the Eljun brand, ensuring that our design decisions would be rooted in the brand's identity. By aligning our understanding of the brand's personality, we could work on creating a cohesive and authentic user experience for the brand and within the app.

Digital Applications & iOS App for Eljun

Special attention was given to how the brand translates to digital environments, ensuring optimal presentation across various screen sizes and platforms. When I joined Eljun the product team was completing the MVP for the iOS app, where much of the functionality was ready but the UI and UX was unfinished. I used Figma to create new prototypes of the iOS app, polishing the UX and reflecting the company's new visual identity in the UI design.

We had conversations on the chore implementation for the MVP of the app. Building upon the existing functionality, Login and Register Page, the focus was on creating a topup page, earn reward page the user journey, working on the navigation, and optimizing interactions.

Design Process

The branding process began with extensive research into the company's values, target audience, and competitive landscape. This research informed every design decision, from color choices to typography selection.

Research & Discovery

Understanding the company's mission and values was crucial to creating an authentic brand identity. We conducted stakeholder interviews and market analysis to inform our design direction.

Concept Development

Multiple logo concepts were explored, each representing different aspects of the brand personality. The final design balances professionalism with approachability.

System Development

Once the core visual identity was established, we developed a comprehensive system of supporting elements, including color palettes, typography hierarchies, and application guidelines.

Results & Impact

The new brand identity successfully positioned Eljun as a modern, trustworthy company while providing clear guidelines for consistent implementation across all touchpoints.

The comprehensive brand guidelines ensure that the visual identity remains consistent as the company grows, providing a strong foundation for future brand extensions and applications.
